IPAs are intended to be used by Member Brokers to help market and sell boats. Pre-sale transparency of the condition of a boat, assessed by an independent Marine Technician, is in our experience, a significant contributing factor to achieving a quick sale of a boat.

Member Brokers have access to Marine Technician Members of the MIA, who will undertake IPAs and prepare reports using the MIA’s tailored checklists and online system for creating reports. Marine Technicians charge owners competitive fixed fees for this service, on a scale determined by the length of the boat to be assessed. The IPA system is quick and efficient for brokers to use and follow and is of real benefit to Member Brokers and their customers.

If you are a yacht broker who would like to apply to become a member of the MIA, please complete the Broker Application Form. Membership of the IPA is currently free for brokers.
